Do you have a Call-out Charge?

No. We will visit free of charge to assess the problem and then advise of cost. Of course if we actually carry out any work to resolve the problem, there would be a minimum charge, and our operative would advise you of that on site, before you incur any cost. We will happily provide a FREE written quotation if you wish. Indeed for anything other than small quick job, we would prefer to do this to avoid any ambiguity or error.

Do you provide free quotations?

Yes, indeed. We will visit free of charge to assess the problem and then advise of cost. Either verbally for a small job that may be done ‘on the spot’, or usually a written quotation sent by email or post.

How long is you quotation valid for?

Formally for 60 days (2 months), but in practice we will generally honour a quotation after this if there has been no change in prices or other circumstances.

How long after accepting the quotation will it be before the work is done?

Naturally, this will depend upon the nature and volume of the work involved, and our existing schedules, but we would normally reckon between one and four weeks.

Do you work at weekends?

Sadly no, all our work is carried out between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. Monday to Friday

Do you make specific time appointments, just a.m./p.m.?

We book appointments in 2 hour windows, as it is impossible to know exactly how long a given job is going to take. However, on the given day of your appointment the operative can call you 10-20 minutes in advance to confirm ETA.

When do I pay my bill?

Unless agreed in advance, or where the owner of the property is not present (e.g. Rental) Payment is due to the operative on completion of the work.

How can I pay my bill?

Payment may be made to the operative in cash, cheque or by credit/debit card.
Account payments may be made by cheque, BACS, or by debit/credit card over the telephone.

Do you require a deposit?

No, (except in exceptional circumstances – expensive parts to special order etc) we only require that you confirm acceptance of the quotation formerly by email or in writing (for posted copies, sign and return second copy). This forms a formal contract between us.
